Terms and Conditions

Individual Instrumental Studies

  • Studies are 1h private sessions with a mentor.

  • Study days and times are coordinated in advance with the Tokyo Pulse team. A regular time slot is recommended for consistency, while keeping the flexibility to reschedule when needed.

    • You can reschedule a study for free up to 7 days before.

    • Changes made 1–6 days before the study incur a ¥1,100 rescheduling fee.

    • Same-day cancellations are considered completed and cannot be refunded or rescheduled.

  • The price of a single 1h study is ¥8,200. If you’re interested in infrequent sessions or require flexibility, you can use our On-demand plan. You will be charged monthly based on how many sessions you have used in the month.

  • If you’re willing to commit to your studies, we offer yearly plans at a discount:

    • The 22-Study plan: 22 x ¥7,200 = ¥158,400 (12% discount) to be paid in 12 monthly instalments of ¥13,200/month

    • The 44-Study plan: 44 x ¥6,000 = ¥264,000 (26% discount) to be paid in 12 monthly instalments of ¥22,000/month

  • The number of studies may vary on any given month due to holidays or scheduling, but will balance over the 1 year period to 22 or 44 total studies.

  • You can add extra lessons (flexible on demand) to your plan for a fixed price of ¥7,200 per extra study in the 22-Study plan, and ¥6,000 per extra study in the 44-Study plan.

  • Extra session fees will be included in the following monthly invoice.

  • Monthly fees are paid the month before (e.g., September’s fee is paid in August).

  • Plans may be paused or cancelled with at least 15 days’ notice before the next month starts (e.g., to pause or cancel your plan from September, you need to notify us before August 15th).

  • Missed or unused study sessions up to that point are non-refundable.

  • Study sessions from the 22-Study or 44-Study plans need to be used within the year (before the anniversary date of the plan starting date) and cannot be carried over to the following year.

  • We offer a 1 month-for-free discount if you are willing to pay your full yearly plan upfront.

    • For the 22-Study plan: 11 x 13,200 = ¥145,000 (you save ¥13,200)

    • For the 44-Study plan: 11 x 22,000 = ¥242,000 (you save ¥22,000)

    • Important note: upfront payments cannot be refunded

    • Extra sessions (flexible on-demand) will be invoiced separately the following month.


The L.A.B.S.

  • Sessions are booked individually with no ongoing commitment.

  • Payment confirms your spot, unpaid reservations may be released.

  • You may cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours before free of charge.

  • Same-day cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.


Band Workshops

  • Band Workshop schedules are shared in advance with a 2-month minimum commitment.

  • Live performance dates are scheduled with group availability in mind.

  • Each month includes two 2-hour rehearsals plus a performance every 2 months (depending on repertoire readiness).

  • Missed sessions are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
