“STEAM ENGINE” is a unit formed by five leading figures in J-Jazz, centered around drummer and composer Hiro Kimura.
The group includes saxophonist Tomoaki Baba, whose recent participation in the film BLUE GIANT is still fresh in memory; Yusuke Sase, regarded as the No.1 young trumpeter; pianist Shota Watanabe, active in various ensembles including his own trio; and bassist Keisuke Furuki, known for his leader unit featuring a string quartet that has garnered much attention.
Together, the five deliver fiery, high-speed jazz.
